‘I am Ancient Modern’
This is Sara Thorn’s second San Miguel exhibition presenting hand painted ceramics , paintings, altars and artist cards. The exhibition is entitled- ‘I am Ancient Modern’
It explores the influences of ancient Egypt, Mesoamerica, ancient Greece and Goddesses and deities from ancient India and the realms of the esoteric.
The Opening is on Friday 21st October 5 -8pm . Beverages and nibbles will be served
and continues on to Sat 22nd & Sun 23rd Oct 12-4pm
Whilst Sara was in her creative process the question arose ‘What is to be modern? Are we the sum parts of our ancient lineages?
Fusions of fantastical worlds inspired by mythologies and patterning’s effortlessly emerged as symbols, colours. sacred Gods and Goddesses were painted onto urns, ceramic spheres, artist plates and in paintings.
The exhibition will feature original Watercolours, oil painting prints, one off altars and artist cards.Sara’s unique approach to creativity is to build bridges across art and spirituality.

In collaboration with I am Modern Exhibition this special Workshop will be offered-Entitled – Create your own Altar
Honouring your ancestors, ancient inspirations and connections to the divine.
